This was a school project, where I compared top bike share apps in Europe and Canada to define their lacks, pain points and implement into redesigning a new bike share platform.
THE
SOLUTION
/eCycle is an e-bike-sharing system that provides Electric bikes to people to use within various city locations situated across Canada. /eCycle consists of multiple interconnected stations whereby people can exchange e-bikes to rent, based upon a given time frame.
Transportation today causes too much damage in the environment. Many people have to wait for transportation in the road for a long time.
Wouldn’t it be better if we replace short distance travel with e-bike which will be simple, cost effective than cars and available at any time in any place? The vision is to make short-distance transportation sustainable for the environment and reduce traffic-jam issues.
The challenge is the bike dock could be empty in a station and, sometimes the bike tires could be punctured. Wouldn’t it be better to remind e-bike availability beforehand and, giving an option to replace a bike incase of bike-issues arise in the middle of the road.
